We take pride in our products and hold a heartfelt relationship with the factory we work with. A home to a highly skilled craft maker community consists of approximately 20 family members, upholding tradition and preserving the historic concepts for decades. Working directly with the artisans is the core of our vision and what makes us. ensuring the quality of our making and personal narrative.
We meticulously craft our pieces with a commitment to longevity, produced from Artisans from all over the world. We are a contemporary brand with an artisanal focus. We respect traditional craft and techniques. And preserve a part of history. Our brand’s purpose is about creating and curating a collection that supports artisanal communities, built respectful and honest relationship with our suppliers.

SUSTAINABILITY
The first sandal we ever made was in Vegetable Tanned Vaccheta Leather. The majority of our production is based on that same material. Our Leather products are treated with natural vegetable tannins, they do not contain any toxic substance such as nickel or chrome.
Leather is a very durable material, much more than any vegan alternatives which means it lasts longer and promotes a slow cycle. We are always in search for new materials and alternative, most of the vegan options, often plastics or other materials, are not aligning themselves to a more sustainable option to ourselves, as they do not meet the quality check we aim for through years of wear and use.
Since all our sandals suppliers are located in Greece, we only work with suppliers within the EU, with a very high traceability and transparency of the raw materials.
We do not believe in trends, and wish for our designs to feel relevant for many years to come, our items can age beautifully over time with the right care.
OUR PACKAGING
All purchases made will be wrapped in our signature packaging.
Every sandal is protected by a cotton string bag, other items will be wrapped into silk paper carefully knotted with a branded cotton ribbon around it.
Every purchase at SUMR comes with a cotton tote bag and put into our signature SUMR enveloppe.
For gifts, you may add a personalised message to the recipient before finishing your order.
